The ministry of transport has signed an agreement with Italy concerning world transport of cargo via land vehicles trailers using ro-ro service and the minister visits Aswan to follow up its implementation and development plan, where the minister has witnessed a memorandum of understanding between Safety General Directorate affiliated to the ministry of Italy and land and international cargo transport authority for transport by road trailers vehicles using ro -ro service

It was attended by Egyptian ministers of finance, and of trade and industry and Italy ambassador in Cairo and by head of MTS. This ro- ro line participates in serving Egypt foreign trade, especially from fresh agricultural crops and then from which to be distributed, all commodities, to the rest of European countries, as Egyptian ports are considered Italy gateway to Africa. Also the Italian company showed interest in Egyptian means of transport and the modern electrical terminals as the mono rail and LRT in addition to the major terminals   at Egyptian railways networks, which attracted the Italian side to cooperate with the Egyptian state.
