Port Compliance with ISPS:

The port is in compliance with the International Code of Ship Security and port facilities (ISPS).

Location:

A small berth protected from the north, north-eastern and western winds.
The port is located north of Hurghada, at a distance of 8 km from Hurghada and 11 km from the main road (Hurghada – Cairo).
It is a suitable berth as it is located near the gateway to the Gulf entrance and near the export ports because of the presence of oil fields and can receive medium size marine units.

Reception and stevedoring of oil tankers.
