Alexandria General Port authority has received during a week three tourist vessels, where total number of passengers has reached 8 thousand passengers, thus reflecting the increasingly status of the port as global touristic destination on Mediterranean map, this within the framework of the state’s comprehensive efforts to enhance tourism.
The port has received the vessel “Saga Spirit of Adventure” coming from Rhodes port in Greece, on board of which 1465 passenger, 960 of which are tourists. Also, the vessel “Volendam” has berthed at the port coming from Greek Heraklion port, and on board of which 1909 passenger, amongst which 1313 passenger.
Moreover, the port has previously received the vessel “Norwegian Viva” coming from Santorini port towards Limasol port and on board of which 4676 passengers, amongst which 3216 passengers.
All vessels were received by the authority’s officials and representatives from ministries of transport, tourism, Egyptian General authority for tourism Promotion, Alexandria governorate, regional authority for tourism Promotion and ministry of the Interior represented in Port police General Dept.
