During his participation in Damietta port authority board of directors periodic meeting, RADM/ Hussien Elgezeiry, head of Maritime Transport & Logistics Sector , has undergone a comprehensive tour to a number of most important ongoing national projects. This within the framework of lieutenant general/ Kamel ElWazir deputy prime minister and industry and transport minister instruction for continuous follow up of maritime transport system and Egyptian ports. The tour has included a visit to “ Tahia Misr1” being one of the main projects that support the port’s competitive capabilities, in addition to the industrial logistic region east the port, grains and yields’ terminal on berth of length 850m and the industrial logistic region West the port. This besides his visit to western breakwater and “Tahia Misr2” multipurpose terminal, final Breakwater; reflecting the total comprehensive follow up for all ongoing developments at port. He was accompanied during the tour by admiral/ Tarek Adly Abdalla, head of Damietta port authority and a number of the authorities officials.

The aim of the tour is to get acknowledged with actual implementation rates of the ongoing projects and assuring on that establishments and works are correctly ongoing in accordance with the time schedules; to fulfill the strategic targets of Damietta port developments and enhance its role as a pivotal center for trade and logistics; this in the framework of the state’s trend to support national projects and raising efficiency of Egyptian ports in order to compete on both regional and international levels
