The vessel Mærsk Denver that flies the American flag on 11 and 12 January 2026 has crossed securely Bab El Mandab strait and has entered the Red Sea, after applying all accredited security procedures to protect the crew, vessel and cargo on board of which, and notifying directly concerned clients with this voyage.
This step comes as a completion of the successful experimental crossing implemented by the vessel ” Mærsk Sebarok” in December 2025, where an additional voyage was made amongst same gradual studied framework to test readiness to return to such vital route.
Hence, A.P. Møller – Mærsk Group continues its gradual steps to retrieve navigational traffic in Red Sea and Suez Canal, this within a framework that relay on a continuous assessment of security situation and strict adherence to highest maritime safety criteria.
And the group continuous its follow-up of any changes in Red Sea and Bab Al Mandab region, in order to get suitable conditions for a secure sustainable return for the crossing traffic of the navigational line , East and west; to Suez canal and Red Sea; being one of the most important international trade arteries.
