Damietta port authority has signed two contracts for implementing two strategic projects that target to organize trucks and vehicles’ traffic ; hence enhancing digital transformation concepts and applying smart green ports criteria, this simultaneously with the implementation of a number of national projects ongoing inside the port; this within the authority’s plan to develop operation system and raising logistics services standard.
The two contracts were signed by head of board of directors of the authority admiral/ Tarek Adly Abdalla, whereas Khaled ElAwa , and Shady Boughdady have signed on behalf of Alfa Trans Co. this in the presence of a number of the authority officials.

The signed contracts have included project of preparing, establishing, managing, operating, maintaining and re-handover of vehicle and trucks waiting yards, so as to fulfill port traffic discipline and participate in organizing trucks entrance and departure securely, this through yards equipped in accordance with latest serving and operational systems.

The contracts have also included establishment, managing, operation, maintenance, and re- handover of electronic biscoal scale (Smart & Green) and fitted with latest smart technicalities; amongst which truck plate reading systems and wireless recognition high quality, surveillance cameras, developed electronic sensors to assure accuracy of scaling measurement and prevent any human interference in measurement procedures and fulfill highest standards of transparency and governance.

The signing of the contracts comes within the framework of Damietta port authority vision to achieve integration between electronic infra-structure and operation system and copying with the ongoing national giant projects in the port, hence enhancing the competitive capabilities and supports the port’s status being a hub port on trade and maritime transport map regionally and internationally, and participates in improving standard of provided services.
