• The project includes establishment of a global container terminal with latest technologies and with biggest navigational line in the world on a berth of length 1200m (of total “berth 100” whose length reaches 1680m, depth 18m, area reaching 840thousand m2, and capacity reaching 1.5 million TEU annually. biggest part of which will be transit trade, so that Dekheila port will become one of the most important ports on the Mediterranean for such type of international trade.

• The berth will serve giant vessels of length 400m and up to 24 thousand containers.

Previously contract has been signed for super- structure establishment, management, operation, exploiting and redelivery of the container terminal on berth 100 between Alex Port General authority and international alliance MSC Hutchison, and this within the framework of implementing comprehensive logistic Sukhna / Alex corridor establishment project for containers for linkage between the Red Sea and the Mediterranean.
