The plenary session of the House of Representatives was held on Sunday, May 28, 2023, chaired by Counselor Dr. Hanafi Jebali, Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Its agenda included; Presentation of the report of the joint committee of the Transportation and Communications Committee and the offices of the defense and national security, economic affairs, and manpower committees in relation to Presidential Decree No. 144 of 2023 regarding the approval of the Maritime Labor Agreement 2006 and the accession of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Agreement.

Representative Alaa Abed, Chairman of the Transportation and Communications Committee, presented the report, followed by comments of the House of Representatives on the report and questions raised and answered. The Speaker of the House of Representatives adjourned the session after approving the Presidential Decree to endorse the Agreement.
