Damietta port authority hosted a coordination meeting that included representatives of Climate change adaptation project in North Coast and Delta regions in Egypt, and the meeting also included representatives and cadres of related administrations at Damietta port and the Governorate headquarters.
The meeting was headed by admiral/ Yasser Abd ElLatif , head of central Dept. for maritime services on behalf of admiral/ Tarek Adly, head of Damietta port, and was attended by Dr. Yosri ElKomy, the strategic planning expert for the project and Eng. Mohamed ElDaly, environment affaires Dept. manager and the project’s coordinator at the governorate, where they have debated challenges that may result from such climate changes on Damietta coastal region, being one of the main hubs; this amongst the coastal regions comprehensive Dept. plan-“ the experimental project Damietta 2025’. Also they exchanged different visions concerning enhancing mechanisms for adaptation with different climate phenomenon and ways of strengthening coordination and integration between concerned bodies in this respect.
