The Cabinet has approved draft resolution amending some of provisions of law number 10 for the year 1956 concerning internal navigation, where the resolution has stated amendment of articles 14 and 15 of this law.
Article 14 after the amendment stating that; with no violation of a more severe sanction in any other law and imprisonment period not exceeding 3 years and with a fine of  no less than 500pounds and no more than 50thousand pounds, or with one of the two sanctions in case of violating any of the law provisions and in case of return the imprisonment will be compulsory.
Whereas article 15 shows that; punished with a fine no less 500pounds and not exceeding 10 thousand pounds whenever he drives a vessel and refrains from            showing the licenses required
This comes within the framework of the proper functioning of the river transport facility and confronting the increasingly cases of noncompliance of ferries’, used for transporting passengers, with safety and security conditions; seeking to preserve citizens souls and safety.
