Lieutenant general/ kamel ElWazir, deputy prime minister and transport and industry minister has assured that Land and Maritime Transport holding company  and its affiliated companies have achieved 4.219 milliard pounds revenues and that net profit is 3.491 milliard pounds.

 He also declared that land and maritime transport sector represents a main factor in achieving economic development, and that the country is seeking to reinforcing efficiency and improving provided services through infra-structure development and updating and modernizing the fleet transporting passengers, cargo and steamboats; targeting converting Egypt into a regional center for transport, logistics and transit trade, following president Sisi instructions.

 He also declared that transport ministry is implementing an ambitious plan that includes introducing modern vehicles of higher efficiency that participate in reducing operational costs, improving safety and security criteria, in addition to increasing the dependence on modern technology in managing and operating the fleet, where it has been contracted for the supply with 259 bus, purchase of 50tractor, 53 semi-trailer to updte the fleet of Nile Co. for Cargo Transport.

The minister again stressed on continuous follow up of developmental projects implementation, for the guarantee of goals’ achievements and assuring commitment for providing with suitable developed working environment, besides raising efficiency of workers and developing their skills through specialized training programs that aim at qualifying them to deal with latest techniques used in operation and management.
