Transport minister has met with Tanzanian Trade authority officials to strengthen joint cooperation in between in the field of trade, maritime transport and logistics and met with his Tanzanian counterpart to debate and search means of joint cooperation in transport different fields; and showing the importance of establishing some logistic regions in African countries especially Tanzania: being the main gate for a number of African countries. Egypt cooperates with Tanzania and other African countries in implementing Cairo/ Cape Town route being an important trade link adopted by the COMESA. Also linking Dar El Salam port with Egyptian ports as Safaga through a regular navigational line for the increase of trade exchange.
Also during the minister visit to Tanzania he discussed with Tanzania Trade authority officials and others means of cooperation between Egyptian and Tanzanian ports, And supporting trade traffic between the two countries.
The ministry also visited the industrial zone of ElSwedy Co., where there is a plan for its near future development to receive Tanzanian and foreign investments: amongst which Egyptian investments; where ElSwedy Co. established an industrial city in Tanzania of an area 206million m2 targeting the investment of more than 400million dollars and hence creating 50 thousand job opportunity.
The ministry has again held a meeting with Egypt ambassador in Tanzania at the Embassy headquarters and Egyptian companies working at Tanzania as ElSwedy and Arab Contractors companies to overview the volume and implementation of their projects there. Where the minister assured that this cooperation comes within the framework of the state maximizing and reinforcing cooperation between all countries of Africa continent, and the country exerted efforts to increase its exports through the establishment of the logistic regions, and that Dar El Salam port in Tanzanian is one of the most important ports in the Middle East, pointing out to the suggestion of linking it with one of the Egyptian ports for example Safaga port through a regular navigation line. So that all Egyptian exports will be compiled and transported by sea to Tanzania and from it to Roland by land then to other African countries.
Also the Egyptian minister has met with his Tanzanian counterpart to reinforce the relation between the two countries and means of cooperation in different fields, in order to increase ties in between and also investments and reinforcing transport traffic to link between African countries whether by sea, land or aviation even, and raising the efficiency of transport in between and being ecofriendly , reducing procedures and increasing trade exchange between African countries taking into consideration all means of Security and safety.
