Damietta Port authority media center has issued a Press statement stating that the port has received during past 24 hours 13 vessel whereas 7 vessels have departed and total number of vessels existing at the port are 25, amongst which the vessel (AAI EVOLUTION )  flying Hong Kong flag and of length reaching 229, width 32m coming from Ukraine, and on board of which tonnage of about 63000wheat ton for the sake of the public sector, this comes within the framework of the state’s efforts assuring readiness of Damietta port authority’s facilities to receive wheat tankers to guarantee that strategic commodities are available and fulfilling the needs for wheat.

Export traffic of general cargo has reached 33160 ton whereas import traffic of general cargo are 42985 ton.

On the other hand, containers’ export traffic reached 357 TEU and number of import containers’ traffic 226 TEU whereas number of transit containers 1535 TEU

Grains silos amount for the public sector at port is 50711 wheat ton, and its amount in private sector warehouses is 10702ton, whereas trucks’ traffic reached 6510 ( entrance and departure).
