Damietta port has received the Chinese vessel (CHANG YANG DONG FANG) that carries on board of which 2 giant berth winch, this comes within the framework of completion of super structure works that “Damietta Alliance” company undergoes; the company that operates “Tahia Misr1”container terminal, and in accordance with the pre-defined schedules, this in preparation for the terminal operation inauguration. This comes amongst the plan of the company to provide the terminal with advanced comprehensive operating systems that includes 12 giant berth winches of latest models from the production of the Chinese company HHMC which is considered one of the outstanding pioneering companies in manufacturing advanced ports’ equipment.

Such cranes are distinguished by excelling operational  capabilities; of lifting capacity reaching 75 tons and with the possibility of reaching up to 57.5 m height from the berth surface; hence enabling it to work efficiently with giant container vessels that can carry up to 11 container height and crane outer arm of length 72m; enabling to deal with biggest vessels of large width and hence reinforcing the port’s capabilities to receive and deal with latest container vessel types in the world with high efficiency.
