Egypt is considered an outlet for Africa and Europe and this is obvious in the exports’ volume at Egyptian ports whether at Alex, Damietta or Abu Qir ports, this what Dr. Ismail Abd ElGhaffar, head of Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport has assured and added that Egypt will become an international center for trade and logistics; and assuring that  Abu Qir port is a leap in ports’ field and stressing that the state has undergone giant projects in Alex that will change the city; pointing out here to the national projects at Alex such “ Mahmodeya/ElMetro”axis that represents the artery  that will lead to traffic flow and finally pointing out that  maritime transport is one of the pillars of Egyptian economy despite of any challenges and pointed out that by the year 2050we will witness “ zero carbon” in the field of maritime transport all over the world
