“Tahia Misr” multipurpose terminal continues proving its status being one of the most important latest projects in Egypt, with a smart advanced operation system ; first of which comes trucks’ preregistration system, which is considered one of the most outstanding unique advantages of the terminal that has participated in raising work efficiency and logistic services inside the port and reducing waiting time drastically, where truck waiting time at the terminal does not exceed 25 minutes only; and this is a record not reached in any other terminal in Egypt up till now. And this reflects the advanced operational efficiency standard that the terminal has reached.
This preregistration system depends on trucks’ registration before arrival to the terminal; hence allowing for entrance and departure traffic organization.so according to this mechanism the truck’s driver is notified in advance about specific arrival time, containers’ stevedoring place in addition to departure time, this through previous communication with the terminal’s administration, and this limits congestion and participates in accelerating the handling processes.
Moreover, “Tahia Misr” multipurpose terminal, that was inaugurated by president Sisi in June 2023. is considered one of the giant projects in maritime transport sector, where it has participated in raising Alex port classification globally and reinforced its competitiveness and thus supports the state’s status amongst ports’ owning countries, of global performance.
This comes as a step within the framework of continuous implementation of Egypt ambitious plans to develop maritime ports, following presidential instruction to convert the state into a regional center for transport, logistics and transit trade
