Maritime transport and logistics sector has participated in the training course effectiveness for the enhance of decent work in maritime sector in response to ILO invitation and organized by the International Training center affiliated to it (ITC ILO), this in cooperation between ILO bureau in Geneva and ILO bureau in Cairo within the period from 23-26 June 2025 and under the auspices of ITF and within the framework of “enhancing decent work in the maritime sector” project. Many of the concerned bodies have participated; believing that maritime laborer is an important indispensable element in the maritime sector route and is considered most important of which, where seafarers’ working conditions accommodation and rights are of great importance to ILO and hence it approved Maritime Labor Convention (MLC 2006) to enhance seafarers’ rights and improve their working conditions on vessels. And also organize working relation between governments, owners and seafarers.
Thus, MTLS is completely aware of its responsibility towards organizing relationship between the three parties in the convention, where it exerts utmost effort and with steady rapid steps to fulfill its target; implementing the convention provisions on earth in order to achieve justice principle and fair relationship between all parties.
