Maritime transport and logistics sector has participated in a workshop concerning crisis management at ports within the framework of ISPS code in cooperation with British transport ministry in Alexandria during the period from 28- 30 October 2024.
In the workshop more than 30 leaderships from different Egyptian ports have participated, where it targeted strengthening the participants capabilities in dealing with probable crisis that might face the ports, this by providing with information concerning how to develop emergency plans, and specifying early crisis signs and also establishing a comprehensive concept of roles and responsibilities of different entities working at ports during the crisis. Moreover, practical training has been undergone by setting realistic scenarios to support participants abilities to take effective rapid decisions in case of emergencies.
Maritime transport and logistics sector, headed by admiral/ Tarek Abdalla Ahmed seeks to reinforce efficiency and skills of Egyptian ports officials through organizing constant workshops to guarantee the continuity of ports’ operations flexibly and efficiently in order to confront different challenges and exchange experiences.
