Lieutenant general/ Kamel ElWazir, deputy prime minister for industrial development and industry and transport minister has inaugurated and launched local Yacht platform ,this within the activities of International Yacht Exhibition, where the platform represents a great step towards reinforcing maritime tourism in Egypt and maximizing local yachts: where transport ministry represented in Maritime Transport & Logistics Sector manages the platform; the platform aims at facilitating tourist yachts services’ process  in different marinas. Also, through the platform yachts’ owners and investors in maritime tourism sector can provide with their services in a more organized and transparent way, in addition to the platform participation in encouraging local maritime sector and providing with new investment opportunities in the field of tourist yachts also improving interaction between services providers (logistic support, maintenance, different maritime activities). Moreover, it strengthen governance and organizing procedures related to yachts’ registration and also guarantees compliance with maritime and environment safety criteria in different tourist marinas where the platform will integrate with the digital Single window of foreign yachts  that transport ministry has launches in September 2022 to provide with highest standards of digital services in the field of yacht tourism and facilitates procedures related to which, especially that this widow is in the form of website on the internet where the yacht owner or his agent can through it enter all data about the yacht, passengers and upload required documents, arrival time, berthing port and complete voyage program, same as done in pioneer countries in the field,  where the window send them automatically to the concerned bodies to revise data and documents and any required meetings and sent approvals on which to Maritime Transport & Logistics Sector official window site for a single approval on the visit program as a whole, and this within 30minutes and issuing one invoice for the foreign yacht to be paid electronically through the window in American dollars, noting here that accomplishment of foreign tourist yachts was previously within a period from 15-30days.

During the platform launch, with the participation of 40giant company and 120 brands exhibiting tourist yachts, Lieutenant general/ Kamel ElWazir, deputy prime minister and industry and transport minister stated the following:

1-The exhibition is an exceptional event that gathers all parties concerned with yacht industry in Egypt and strengthens Egypt status internationally being a distinguishable destination for yacht tourism and aims at bringing together all decision makers, investors and experts in the maritime sector and hence facilitating cooperation and exchanging experiences about latest developments in yacht industry and services related to it.

2-It contributes to promotion for tourism yachts manufacturers and attracting more international and local investments to maximize benefitting from maritime capabilities and converting Egypt into a regional center for tourism.

3-A number of procedures and facilities have been implemented to make Egypt a main destination for yacht tourism; most outstanding of such efforts is Yacht Tourism platform launch

Also he declared that the following day to the launch there will be held a discussion session entitled ‘yacht tourism future’ and which will deal with and show  transport ministry efforts to maximize yachts’ tourism which is an opportunity to open discussion and exchange experiences to benefit from all capabilities that the state provides with in order to become an international destination for yachts’ tourism whether from the government or investment sector point of view; a positive debate for  maximizing yacht tourism.

yacht tourism with its modern ports and developed facilities and is considered an ideal destination for whom practice maritime activities whether yacht berthing, exploring different coral reefs in the Red Sea, where Egypt provides with a unique experience that balances between luxury and charming nature.

 In the session the importance of tourism sector in supporting Egyptian economy, confronted challenges and most available opportunities for its development have been debated, this in addition to the role of such tourism in increasing investments and participating in tourism development in general.

 Worth noting that the session is an opportunity to open discussion and exchange ideas between the governmental sector represented in ( Maritime transport and Logistics Sector) and investment private sector. The discussion was about ways of utmost benefit from the capabilities that the state provides with to become a distinguishable tourism destination.

 Officials from maritime transport in both government and private sectors have attended and took part in the discussion; as we are looking forward to listening to their distinguishable opinions and valuable participation in this field and they are:
