The conference that was organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology , and Maritime Transport extended for 3 days. The end of the international conference for maritime transport and logistics “Marlog 14” was on “Tuesday”. The conference was held under the auspices of the General Secretary of the League of Arab states – Mr. Ahmed Abou Al-Ghait- and his excellency Lieutenant General Minister Kamel El-Wazeer (Deputy Prime minister for industrial development) – Transport Minister.
The closing session was attended by the Minister Weld Saidaty Weld Ahemd Louli – Minister of fishing, port and marine infrastructure at the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. The closing session witnessed the presence of the Minister Dr. Raeed El- ghaboury – manager of Arab organizations and unions, the presence of Admiral/ Tarek Aballah Ahmed – Head of the Maritime Transport & Logistics Sector, and Dr. Ismael Abdel Ghafaar Ismael Farag – Head of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology , and Maritime Transport.
Dr. Youssri – Head of the scientific committee for the conference (counselor of the Head of the Arab Academy, Dr. Akram Soliman El-Salmy – Head of the conference organizing committee, Dean of Technology and Engineering Faculty, and Dr. Alaa Moursi – Dean of Port Training Institute; Research and Consultation Centre at the Academy also participated in the closing session.
Dr. Ismael Abdel Ghafaar Ismael Farag – Head of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport began his speech by thanking the General secretary of the League of Arab States Mr. Ahmed Abou El-Ghait and his excellency Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazeer – Deputy Prime minister for industrial development, Minister of transport for being conference sponsors.
Dr. Ismael Abdel Ghafaar Ismael Farag – Head of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology , and Maritime Transport thanked University of Genoa – the strategic partner for organizing the conference. Dr. Ismael praised the efforts of sponsors, organizing authorities in addition to the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport for being success partners in such an event. Dr. Ismael expressed his proud of the events that accompanied the whole days of the conference.
Dr. Ismael Abdel Ghafaar Ismael Farag – Head of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology , and Maritime Transport said that the three days “Marlog” conference shows each year more distinguished efforts and fruitful discussions than before, in addition to the leading research papers presented in the conference. Dr. Ismael adds that the international conference of maritime transport and logistics was full of knowledge that enriched the future vision of the Maritime Transport & Logistics Sector with reference to the participation of various world countries and Arab brothers’ countries.
“Al-Fadeel weld Saidaty” adds that “Marlog” conference is one of the prominent specialized scientific conferences in the Maritime Transport & Logistics Sector. “Marlog” conference witnessed scientific sessions and valuable lectures around central issues and current news for obstacles facing the Maritime Transport & Logistics Sector, with a focus on the applications of artificial intelligence that posed new trend in the marine system. “Al-Fadeel weld Saidaty” said: “the Islamic Republic of Mauritania realized the importance of digital alliteration and innovation support in addition to joining all the ports to one sector for enhancing harmony.
Dr. Akram Soliman El-Salmy – Head of conference organizing committee and dean of Engineering and Technology Faculty was grateful to positive responses of participants in the conference who are the exhibition visitors and participating authorities. Dr. Akram Soliman asserted that the continuation of annual organization of the conference reflects the interest of the Arab Academy headed by Dr. Ismael Abd El-Ghafaar in supporting the Maritime Transport & Logistics Sector and encouraging his growth and development.
Dr. Akram Soliman explained that the conference witnessed the participation of 41 research papers out of 51 ones in addition to 53 presentations for the three-day period of the conference and added that the responsible authorities for “Marlog” are increasing in every new event of the conference taking place, where 31 new country members and 700 participants in addition to 25 companies participated in the exhibition accompanying the conference.
Dr. Akram Soliman ended his speech with a word addressed thanking to Dr. Ismael Abdel Ghafaar Ismael Farag – Head of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport for his endless support and continuous encouragement to make the conference successful. In turn, Dr. Alaa Moursi said that the International Conference for Maritime Transport and Logistics “Marlog 14” gathered a distinguished group of experts, scientists, and professionals in the maritime transport industry from all over the world to discuss and exchange ideas around the most recent developments and challenges in the Maritime Transport & Logistics Sector.
Dr. Moursi added that the conference dealt with a vast area of topics in scientific sessions which included arguments about digital change and port management under the lead of experts presenting visions and points of view around the value of urgent issues influencing the maritime industry.
Dr. Akram Soliman thanked Dr. Ismael Abdel Ghafaar Ismael Farag – Head of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport for his support and encouragement to the working team, and the innovation and continuous co-operation for reaching the moment where “Marlog” will gain the fruits of his success.
The maritime transport conference ended his events by honoring the Heads of scientific sessions. Dr. Ismael Abdel Ghafaar Ismael Farag – Head of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport expressed his gratitude to the conference partners, sponsors and organizers for their support and participation.
