President Sisi: enhancing communication with navigational lines, localization of maritime industries and fleet development
president Abd ElFattah ElSisi, has stressed on the necessity of effective communication between Suez Canal authority and its clients and localizing strategic relationships between major navigational lines and international related organizations specially in crisis time.
Also Mr. president directed for continuous development of maritime and navigational services in accordance with highest quality standards and maximizing Suez Canal capabilities which is considered a main hub for international trade traffic, with concentration on creating new job opportunities in the field of vessels’ industry.
Moreover, he overviewed Suez Canal navigation traffic developments and exerted efforts to preserve maritime and navigational services standards despite of current regional and international challenges, including adding a bunch of new navigational services and completion of development of the canal navigational channel.
In this context, it has been referred to accomplishment of Suez Canal South Sector development project that has entered its operation completion phase since February 2025. Also Ismailia water terminal that has been established with total capacity 180 thousand square meter, and the entering of new maritime units into service. Also developments projects of the authority and its affiliated companies have been presented, and activities of research center affiliated to it, latest status for building new floating bridges, continuing purification of ElBardaweel lake and fishing berths raising efficiency works.
Moreover, Suez Canal authority maritime fleet development efforts have been presented and shown how reinforced with new developed units to guarantee continuity of navigational efficiency and safety and also to cope with the increasingly growth of international trade traffic, with concentration on meeting the needs of the canal navigational channel and its surrounding. Also, has been reviewed is the plan of building trailers and high sea fishing boats in Egypt using advanced technology, targeting the establishment of a comprehensive system for fishing and production and packing of fish.
