In a step towards supporting Egypt’s vision; being a regional center for transport logistics and transit trade, comes today the launch of international maritime transport and logistics conference (MARLOG) in its 15th edition at Alexandria. It is one of the most important specialized conference in maritime transport, supply chains and logistics all over the republic, Africa and the Arab world as a whole. This under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed Abu ElGhaeit; Arab League secretary general, and lieutenant general/ kamel Elwazir, deputy prime minister and transport and industry minister, lieutenant general/ Ahmed khaled, Alex governor, lieutenant general Osama Rabea, head of Suez Canal authority, Mr. Walid Sami, Head of Suez Canal Economic Zone. And Dr. Nedal ElHattameen, Jordan transport minister, Ms. Marina Hadgamalonees , Cyprus deputy head for shipping affaires in addition to a number of ambassadors and diplomatic members, and organized by Arab Academy for Science and Technology and maritime transport (AAST).

The conference debates throughout its sessions the radical changes in transport sector globally, with concentration on Green Logistic corridors, artificial intelligence technicalities implementation to reduce carbon emissions, enhancing supply chains efficiency against any crisis. Also experts’ presentations for giant infra- structure projects, digital transformation in ports, and comparison between major global trade corridors such as ElHareer Road and the Suez Canal.
A number of experts and academics participate in MARLOG 15 from major countries( USA, China, Italy, Greece, Australia, Norway, Romania, France, South Korea, Spain); hence enhancing the importance of the conference in maritime transport sector regionally and internationally.
