Transport ministry is currently ongoing a comprehensive plan for the establishment of 33 dry port and a logistic region all over the republic, as international trade future concentrates now on  logistic corridors that is characterized by efficiency, flexibility and sustainability and that can  accommodate with crisis and cope with the transformation towards green economy, so  in last years  it has been proven that the world is in bad need for  smart  sustainable logistic corridors that depend on digital transformation, and integration of transport means, and that depends on modern technological solutions in a way that guarantee trade traffic continuity, reducing risks and costs and limiting negative environmental impacts.

 And based on  the state’s vision to convert Egypt into a regional and international center for transport logistics and transit trade, the ministry gives  priority to maritime transport and logistics development  being one of the main economic development catalysts, and thus here came the international conference for transport and logistics this year under the slogan” smart flexible logistic corridors ..future gateway for green trade” . Thus, the state gives  great importance for developing maritime transport and logistics system and establishing 7 international comprehensive developmental logistic corridors, in addition to developing maritime ports and the Egyptian maritime fleet and also forming strategic partnerships with major companies in managing and operating global container terminals and international navigational lines.
