PhD/Amgad Al Wakeel-Head of Nuclear Power Plants Authority– signed the contract for the management and operation of Dabaa Quay with RADM./ Nihad Shaheen, Chairman of the Alexandria Port Authority, in the presence of RADM /Reda Ismail, Head of Maritime Transport & Logistics Sector in the Headquarter of the Maritime Transport & Logistics Sector in Alexandria.

Nuclear Power Plants Authority spokesman stated in a declaration released by the Authority that this contract comes in preparation by the Authority for the reception of the first nuclear long-term equipment (the core catcher of the nuclear reactor for the first nuclear unit).
As a Continuation of the relentless efforts and successive steps, taken by the Authority to guarantee the necessary preparedness and full readiness to carry out its tasks, all the operational requirement of the quay have been fulfilled and all the approvals and licenses needed to operate the quay have been obtained.

The contract stipulates that Alexandria Port Authority; the prominent Authority in the field of port management will operate the quay of the nuclear power plant, which will receive the nuclear power plant equipment, the first of which will be the first long term nuclear equipment reaching Dabaa Quay during the second half of this March.
