The world is witnessing now radical transformations in maritime transport sector, this what Dr. Ismail Abd ElGhaffar, head of Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport has assured; pointing out that self- sailing vessels is soon to enter into service, and declared that the world is rapidly going towards technology and there is a clear trend to develop vessels’ engines and fuel systems to cope with international environmental criteria , and assuring that this transformation comes within the framework of seeking for environment protection and reducing carbon emissions resulting from shipping processes.

 He moreover declared that the academy is giving great importance to artificial intelligence field and working to merge it in its curriculums and training courses to guarantee the graduation of qualified cadres capable of copying with global maritime market needs
