Prime minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, has inaugurated International Dubai Ports warehouse “ Misr for Logistic Services” at Sokhna comprehensive industrial region, that covers an area of 300 thousand meter with investments reaching 85 million dollars, this within the framework of the state efforts to enhance the logistic sector at Suez Canal Economic Zone.
First stage has already been operated and planned to launch second phase in third quarter of year 2026. The project is divided into Public Customs warehouse for containers’ storage and a warehouse for cargo whose taxes and fees have been paid.
The Group officials have declared that the first stage will provide with more than 150job opportunity. And the number will increase to more than 300 opportunity in second phase. The warehouse is distinguished by its strategic location near Sokhna port, Suez city and New Administrative Capital, hence enhancing its capability to link and integrate logistic processes.
Also, the warehouse provides with storage services with two systems; Customs system or non- Customs system, in addition to smart digital solutions as instant vision of shipments and field Customs procedures and an integrated electronic platform for customers’ service
The project aims at supporting main sectors that include agricultural products, raw materials, packaging, textiles, cars and spare parts and electric cars; hence participating in enhancing Egypt status being a regional and international center for trade and logistic services. “DP World” is ongoing since 2008 in enlarging its investments in Egypt that have exceeded 1.3 milliard dollars to upgrade Sokhna port and linking it with international supply chains , thus enhancing economic development and create new job opportunities. So it goes on with its purposeful projects to enhance Egypt’s status on world trade map through developing a sustainable logistic system that provides with comprehensive services including logistic services and stevedoring; to enable dealers to reach solutions for secure flexible supply chains this reflects the ambitious vision of DP World towards trade more consistent and sustainable in the future.
