Transport ministry has announced that within the framework of the state’s plan for sustainable development 2030, and following president Sisi constructions to convert Egypt into a regional center for transport, logistics and transit trade and developing transport system as a whole all over the republic, it has been planned for the establishment of 7 comprehensive logistic channels and added that ongoing is the implementation to link production regions whether (industrial, agricultural and mining) with Seaports or linking seaport on the Red Sea with Seaports on the Mediterranean and New Urban Communities by a railway network( Diesel/ High-speed electric train) or main road network with dry ports and logistic regions situated on such channels. Such channels are represented in Ain El Sukhna-Alexandria channel which extends from Sukhna port at Red Sea passing by 10th Ramadan dry port and the logistic region and linking it with the railway network through El Rubeky- 10th Ramadan -BelBeis of length 63.5 km and the industrial region at 10th Ramadan passing by Cairo, the biggest urban center in the Middle East followed by 6th October industrial city and the dry port and the logistic region reaching up to great Alexandria port , and logistic Arish- Taba which starts from Arish port on the Mediterranean until Taba port at Aqaba bay passing by heavy industries region at mid Sinai and this channel serves the logistic regions that are ongoing to be established at Sinai ( El Tour- Rafah-ElAwga- ElHasna-ElNakab-Taba-Ras Sedr- Beer ElAbd
This in addition to Cairo-Alex logistic channel that starts from railway at Beshtal region passing by ElSadaat dry port and 6th October dry port and linking them with railway network on Beshtal line – ElEtahad- Etay ElBarood- ElKabary through link Kafr Dawood- ElSadaat of length 36km and ELManashy- 6th October of length 68km until great Alexandria port, and Tanta- ElMansoura- Damietta logistic channel that starts from the logistic region at Tanta at Delta that serves agricultural production regions at Mid Delta and the industrial regions at (Quesna- Tanta- Kafr El Zayat- ElMahalla- ElMansoura) and linking them with Damietta port with the railway( Tanta- ElMansoura- Damietta) passing by the dry port at New Damietta City.
Also Garboob- Elsaloom logistic channel which starts from Gargoob seaport on the Mediterranean and reaches to land Saloom port which is considered the biggest land port in Egypt and through which will be the increase in trade exchange traffic between Egypt and Libya, passing by the logistic region east ElSaloom and linking between them is the railway line Gargoob- ElSaloom of length 223 km. This in addition to Cairo-Aswan-Abu Sinbel logistic channel which includes the High- speed electric train network second line and Western Upper Egypt desert road passing by dry land ports and logistic regions ( New ElFayoum- Koom Abu Radi- New Sohag- Abu Sinbel ) and the agriculture reclamation regions at Toshka, ElAuwainat- and touristic Abu Sinbel region, and finally Safaga- Kena- Abu Tartour logistic channel that starts from Safaga port on the Red Sea and the logistic region at Safaga passing by high- Speed electric train third line and diesel railway line ( Safaga- Kena-Abu Tartour).
