Egyptian state continues its giant maritime transport projects’ achievements that enhances Egypt’s status on the global map. Here comes “ Tahia Misr’ multi- purpose terminal at Alex port, inaugurated by president Sisi in June 2023, being one of the important giant economic projects that participates in  raising the port’s classification and supports its competitiveness internationally; where the terminal was capable of presenting a distinguished example in operation and logistic services.

 One of the terminal’s outstanding privileges is implementing trucks’ pre- registration which is considered a leap in containers’ traffic management after it has overcome one of the biggest challenges; represented in congestion. The system depends on registering the truck before its arrival to the terminal, so that the driver is pre- informed with entrance time, stevedoring place and departure time.  This development has helped in reducing trucks’ waiting time inside the terminal to become 25 minutes only and this is an unprecedented number any other terminal has reached ever, hence reflecting managing and operation standard of Egyptian ports and in accordance with highest international criteria.

  Thus, “Tahia Misr’ multi- purpose terminal assures its important role being a strategic national project enhancing Egyptian ports capability to serve international trade traffic efficiently and puts Egypt in the ranks of countries of advanced ports’ performance.
