\u00a0Transport ministry is implementing a number of projects at Egyptian ports, amongst which is the establishment of Grand Alex port and through the following points we reveal most important ongoing implemented projects at the port and what have been already accomplished:<\/p>\n
\u00a0Grand Alex port projects:<\/p>\n
\n
establishment of Tahia Misr multipurpose terminal of length 2.5km and area 560thousand m2 and capacity ( 12-15 million ton)<\/li>\n
\u00a0Establishment of berth 85\/3 for grains and wood handling, of length 433 m long and allows for anchorage of vessels up to 70 thousand cargo tons.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
3- Establishment of 3 corridors to link Alex port with ElTaameer corridor ( corridor 54- corridor 27- Dekheila corridor.<\/p>\n
4- Accomplishment of infra-structure works of Tahi Misr 2 multipurpose terminal at berth100at Dekheila port\u00a0 of length 1680 m, depth 18 m, backyard 840 thousand m2<\/sup> for the investor and another of 423 thousand m2<\/sup> Alex port authority<\/p>\n
5-Ongoing establishment of clean dry bulk terminal of berths\u2019 length 1150m<\/p>\n
6-Ongoing establishment of breakwaters of lengths 7000m<\/p>\n
7-Ongoing establishment of a logistic region on an area of 273 feddan<\/p>\n
All this in order\u00a0 to benefit from Egypt\u2019s unique location on the two sea: Red and Mediterranean and existence of most important global navigation line ;the Suez Canal, and for the sake of making Egypt with its location a catalyst for international trade and all such\u00a0 investments in ports\u2019 sector and development of their backyards, with exclusively Egyptian money, and all\u00a0 projects will be tendered and presented for management and operation with Egyptian private sector and international sectors in order to reach the main objective which is converting Egypt into a regional and international center for transport, logistics and transit trade.<\/p>\n
