The Minister of Transport monitors the Arrival of the ferry “Cairo” to the Port of Safaga, coming from the Saudi Port of Dibba, with 283 Egyptian Passengers on board.

The Minister of Transport, Lt. Gen. Kamel Al-Wazir, monitored the arrival of the ferry “Cairo” to the sea port of Safaga, coming from the Saudi port of Dibba with 283 Egyptian passengers and 66 cars on board. The Minister directed senior officials of the Red Sea Ports Authority to apply all procedures, measures and facilities for the passengers and work to expedite the completion of procedures in coordination with the relevant authorities. Subsequently, the number of passports officers and customs inspectors was increased as a way of swiftly end all procedures related to passports, inspection and customs.
A specialized medical team boarded the ship and concluded the procedures of medical examination and expeditious testing of the Corona Virus on the returnees and the crew of the ship.
In Coordination with the Quarantine Administration at the port an equipped ambulance was provided alongside the ship to transfer any suspected cases to quarantine.
The Quarantine Administration has also decontaminated and sterilized the ship before boarding of the passengers and after their disembarkation, as well as sterilizing the berths, installations and marine units in the port once the returnees left the Port.  All Port personnel were compelled to wear the necessary masks and protective outfits during their encounter with the public.
