The Ministers of Transport, Tourism and Antiquities discuss ways to enhance cooperation and coordination to serve Tourism Sector

H.E Lt. Gen. Kamel  El-Wazir ; the Minister of Transport, met with Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, in the presence of the Chairman of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Chairman of  Hotel Establishments Chamber and Chairman of the Chamber of Tourism Companies in order to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and coordination to serve the tourism sector.
A number of important topics were discussed in support the tourism sector, including the consideration of operating tourist sleeping trains between Luxor and Hurghada in order to establish a link between tourist cities connecting beach tourism with cultural tourism and Red Sea cities with the cities of Nile Valley.
The Minister of Transport confirmed that there is a plan to rehabilitate and raise the efficiency of the Abu Tartour / Qena / Safaga / Hurghada railways; pointing out that it is a strategic project that serves mining and passenger transport industry and contributes positively to the development of the New Valley and provinces by which the railway passes.
The efforts of the Ministry of Transport in developing various road network and creating hubs on the Nile River in Upper Egypt to serve citizens and tourist areas were reviewed, as well as the efforts of the Ministry of Transport in upgrading the efficiency of river and marine ports, so that they contribute to advocating tourism activity and national economy. The Minister of Transport instructed the Ministry to provide all the necessary facilities to serve tourism sector and contribute to its performance in the best form, befitting Egypt's international façade.
