PhD./ Mostafa Madbouly, the Egyptian Prime Minister, witnessed signing the contracts between the Egyptian Ministry of Transport and a number of global shipping companies, among which was a contract to build the super structure, operate, manage, maintain ,and re-deliver the container terminal in Dekhila Port; (B.OT Concession Contract).
Lt. Gen. Eng. Kamel El Wazir said that “the volume of the direct foreign investments in the project of developing both Sokhna and Dekhila Ports is estimated by 1.6 billion $ while the returns are expected to be 5 billion $.
At a press conference at the Ministers Council, he explained that the enhancement of the ports of El-Sokhna and El-Dekheila will transform Egypt into a center for global trade and logistics, explaining that the B.OT Concession Contract of the container terminal at Berth 100 in El-Dekheila, is within the framework of the Ministry of Transport’s implementation of “The Alexandria Grand Port Development Scheme” in order to achieve the greater goal of transforming Egypt into a global center for trade and logistics.
