The Symposiums And Conferences
A number of symposiums and conferences, most important of
which (the Fourth African Port Conference concerning Port Security).
Maritime Environment Protection
Ministry of Transport in participates in setting the general
strategy to protect maritime environment. Also conventions which Egypt joins ;
most outstanding of which is MARPOL, and participating in emergency plans and
studies about maritime environment. Also, insuring and organizing handling of
dangerous materials in ports. Moreover, studying joining new international
conventions concerning maritime environment protection.
Insuring Maritime Safety
Egypt has ended ISPS Code requirements in:

The Red Sea and Suez Gulf; VTS-SAR(4).

Exporting 3 boats (SAR).

15 port and 109 vessels have obtained ISPS license.
