Description and Constituents of the Port

Location

The port is located 205 km south Adabiya on the West Bank of the Gulf of Suez , 150km from Hurghaga and 225 km from Suez the Port can be used day and night

Berth Characteristics

The Port is composed of 2 Scaffold for Pilotage and service vwssels ( 120&60m lenght,3-4m depth ) and 3 anchors for tankers,only one of them's in use comosed of 6 buoys.


Navigational Aids

  • Ras Gharib lighthouse: at 21.2/ 28 north K 6.8/ 33 east.
  • There are 2 congruent navigational Aids at the berth:
    • Two signs with green light to enter the northern platform.
    • Two signs with red light to enter the southern platform.
