Port Description

The port consists of an imaginary line from Abu Zenimah tip in the south for one and half nautical mile then to the east until the coast.The port handles manganese,gypsum,and kaolin by Sinai manganese company . The port has a concrete scaffold reinforced with poles extending on 134m along the beach.The vessels anchor on the tip of scaffold and moor by 5 buoys,2 buoys on the west side and 3 buoys on east side depth 9.5m .

Location

The port is located on the eastern coast of the Suez Gulf. The port consists of two berths pre-bulked with reinforced concrete block.

1962 - 1984.

Port Characteristics

The main berth is of 48 meters length, 15 m width and 10 m draft. The sub-berth is of 60 m length, 30.8 m width and 4 m draft. It is provided with rubber fenders and bollards and 4 mooring gears.

The port is protected from all kinds of winds except for western winds.
