Armed Forces, General Intelligence and the Ministry of International Affairs:

A continuous coordination and cooperation is maintained in order to protect the national security, achieve full security control and follow up the compliance with all defense and national security requirements on board vessels and in all the Egyptian sea ports.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs (International agencies sustainable development- Environment and Conferences):

  • Representing the Egyptian government in the Egyptian delegations attending the International conferences of IMO and its related activities.
  • Studying the International, regional and bilateral agreements. Fostering the international relations in the field of maritime transport besides. Joining the International agreements and participating in developing their procedures in order to serve the national interest, cope with the international development, coordinate to reach the best solution for the maritime problems emerging in the maritime area surrounding the Egyptian waters.
  • Adopting the fees of MTS participation in the International and regional conferences in the General budget of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Ministry of Administrative Development:

The Central Body for Organization & Management affiliated to the Ministry of Administrative Development is advised, every year, with the training plans and the rules of the training allocations disbursement in the budget of every fiscal year according to the annual circulars issued for regulating this process, for consideration. MTS is informed, consequently, with the relevant approval every year.

>Ministry of Manpower and Immigration- International Labor Organization:

MTS cooperates and coordinates with them in order to prepare and organize conferences and workshops on maritime labor

Ministry of Finance:

  • Discussion of the draft expenditures & incomes budget (of ports Authorities – The Egyptian Authority of Maritime Safety –MTS) and notifying MTS after its adoption by the People's Assembly.
  • Undertaking the necessary enhancements of some budget items during the fiscal year.
  • Allocating 3% of the income increase to bonus for the personnel of MTS.

Ministry of Planning:

  • The approval on the investment plan project.
  • The amendment of the plan.
  • The approval on purchasing transportation modes and furniture
