Bilateral Relations
The Egyptian government has bilateral agreements with several Arab & Foreign governments. These agreements consolidate the relations between Egypt and other countries in the field of maritime transport and foster the technical and commercial cooperation.
Bilateral agreements were signed with 10 Arab countries and 18 foreign countries besides the memorandum of understanding between the Egyptian ports and 13 other ports.
International Relations
The Egyptian Government (represented in MTS, The Egyptian Authority of Maritime Safety & Port Authorities) is always keen to attend and participate in the international organizations meetings such as IMO and ILO.
Egypt also participates in the regional organizations meetings such as the Association of North African Ports Administrations, Arab Sea Ports Union, MED Cruise, Memorandum of Understanding of Mediterranean Port State Control(MED MOU), REMPEC and the Regional Center for Pollution Prevention in the Red Sea area located in Djeddah.
