Rasheed: Starting the Implementation of a Project for the Transport of Fresh Vegetables and Fruits from Alexandria Port to Italy in 48 Hours

Egypt and Italy agreed to develop the maritime transport system between both countries to increase their inter- trade and reduce the period that Egyptian products from fresh vegetables and fruitstake to reach Italy and its distribution on other European capitals.

A Responsible maritime source confirmed that the reason for the Italian vessel crash into Sharm El Sheikh Port's berth was due to 100% human error; the Law of the Sea blames the vessel's Captain even if he was piloted by the port as pilotage is just an advice and the Captain has to make a decision and take full responsibility.

Eng Alaa Fahmy Minister of Transport pointed out that the security, safety and comfort of the passengers are the most important factors for navigation of any vessel operating on the Egyptian shipping lines to the neighboring countries... noting that the vessels are not evaluated by their age, but by their seaworthiness and IMO's regulations do not require a specific age for the vessels.

Egyptian Data Center of LRIT System Enters into Force

Admiral Tawfik Abo Gindia Head of Maritime Transport Sector stated that Egyptian Data Center of LRIT System had been activated to be one of the first internationally operational data centers. The center allows to continuously follow-up the Egyptian and foreign vessels around the world.
