The most important discussion of the meeting of Transport and Communications Committee of COMESA States:-
1- Increasing the care for communication among COMESA states, especially before conferences.
2-More reliance on websites in implementing COESA`s works.
3- Determining a time frame for every project and every adopted work policy to determine the time of applying in every state.
4- Suggesting the different methods to provide the monetary fund for every project.
5-Concentrating the efforts and the fund for one Mega Project for every sector, with reference to the consequence of the workshop of Alexandria.
6-Giving due care to training and establishing the capabilities through the specialized institutions in A.R.E and the rest of COMESA States and exchanging information through COMESA Secretary about all the training institution, consulting centers, and the special researches of all kinds of transport, communication, post, and air forecasting.
7-Alexandria workshop (August 2005) adopted six required Mega Projects, of then the necessity of establishing a shared slipping line among COMESA States, the agreement of ministers on the proposed mechanism of implementation with sending Egypt's Proposal for Memorandum of Understanding, which was agreed to the legal Administration of COMESA to be revised before presenting it to ministers.
8-Inserting the Arabic language as an official language in COMESA works.
9-Exchanging the experience and information concerning the development which took place in COMESA States in relation with Transport's Projects and issues.
10-Of the positive indicators the participation of 14 country of COMESA countries in the ninth meeting of Transport and communication committee, added to this seven international organizations as controllers and the presence of Libya for the first time. The attendance of 10 minister and vice minister is waited.
Admiral, Karim Abu ELkhier (Head of River Transport Authority) has proposed an offer about how to apply the norms of safety in river navigation and Egypt capabilities (institution, application, maps) and its readiness to cooperate in these fields with all COMESA States.
