In 2009, the Egyptian commercial ports received approximately 20278 vessel calls compared to 20299 vessel calls in 2008and 19625 vessel calls in 2007, achieving a decrease rate up to 0.1% in 2009 compared to 2008 and a growth rate up to 3.4% in 2008 compared to 2007. In 2009, the general average of ves¬sels dwell time in the Egyptian ports reached 3 days compared to 2.7 days in 2008.
