The total number of vessels crossing the Suez Canal in 2007 has reached about 20384 vessels compared to 18664 vessels in 2006 (with an increase of 9.2% than last year), with a total net tonnage for 2007 estimated by 848.2 million tons compared to 742.7 million tons with an increase of 14.2% than last year.
